2020 LMFA game schedule and procedures
Here are the 2020 LMFA game schedules for each age division.
Our game schedule and rules were designed to follow all government and Football Canada rules and regulations to keep everyone as safe as possible.
We understand that this situation is not ideal, but a lot of work went into getting this season off the ground in a very short period of time.
This is the best we can do in these times.
We are looking forward to 2021 returning to “normal” hopefully.
All games this year are at Citywide Park at 1610 Commissioners Road East.
(The game field in St Thomas at Password1 Park is not open this year)
Of course, the schedule is subject to change and will be kept up to date here.
Each schedule has an arrival time and game start time. Teams can not arrive earlier then their designated time and must leave right after their game ends.
This is how we will follow the gathering limit rules and keep each “pod” as separate as possible.
Every game will be one hour (Two 25 minute halves running time with a 5 minute halftime)
Game rules can be downloaded here:
In order to follow the government’s outdoor gathering limits, spectators inside the fence will be limited to one parent per player.
Spectators must remain 2 metres apart at all times while in the park and must complete the same screening process as the players at the gate.
(Screening questions and hand sanitizer, which we will provide)
- 1st time: spectator will be asked to correct their behaviour
- 2nd time: spectator is asked to leave and that team will not be allowed any spectators inside the fence the next week.
So, if someone in your group is not following the rules, it’s in your interest to encourage that person to correct their behaviour.
- Should the problems with that group continue, no spectators from that team will be allowed inside the fence for the rest of the year.
The game field will be set up in the middle of the field. 60 yards by 25 yards.
We will mark the field area with cones and yard markers.
Team stretch warm is done in the end zone. One team in each end zone.
Then once the bench area has been cleared, the team can go to their bench area and get ready to have FUN !!!!
